Dear Birgit,
Greetings from all of us in the Philippines. Our meetings at Marian, Melly and Cora were all successful. Our subject matters were more on fundraising to cope up with our needs. We have scheduled a Feeding Program for poor children in the slum areas, Laboratory Blodd examinations every six months, and scholarship for children of seafarers who are financially hard-up.
Every meeting we had, after the formalities, we often remembered the camaraderie we experienced with you. I will suggest to all our member chapters and officers you've known to enlist you as Honorary Member. That is, if you will agree. Your donation qualifies you as an auxiliary member regardless of citizenship, our young Atty. Mickey Pabalinas said!
Our next officers' meeting will be on May 17th during the birthday celebration of Jonette. I will bring the issue of Honorary Membership to all of them,.
Melly left for London last night. Lydia Sampollo (former treasurer) left for California. The rest are all at home as usual. Captain de Guia, Chief Engrs. Pabalinas and Daysor are still on vacation with their respective families.
Enchanted Kingdom is a theme park similar to Disney Land where families go for recreationary rides and entertainment. This is the company where Anna Lee is employed as Corporate Communications Officer. She also performs in some shows produced by her company every time she is requested by management. This is another place or locale that you can appreciate. Anna Lee performs in a musical show this May.
